This tour offers it all, seventeen days of culture, history, adventure and relaxation.
Casablanca is the largest and most cosmopolitan and contemporary of all the cities in Morocco. It is also the business and economic centre. After you have been transferred from Mohammed V airport to your hotel, you have the option to visit Hassan 11 mosque the third largest mosque in the world and the tallest minaret. If time permits you can also walk the corniche along the foreshore
If time did not allow for a visit to the mosque and/or corniche you can visit them this morning. After lunch leave for Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Enjoy a guided city tour in the afternoon
Leaving Rabat for the Imperial city of Fes. via the holy city of Moulay Idriss and visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis which includes a fully guided tour of the ruins. It is then just a short drive to Meknes . another Imperial city famous for its blue gate. After arrive at Fes and check into your Riad
After breakfast you will take a fully guide tour of Fes. The oldest of the Imperial Cities. Includes visits to the newly restored ancient library, pottery works and tannery
After an early breakfast you travel through the Middle Atlas, stopping for lunch at Midelt. You will then continue on following the Ziz valley to Erfoud and then finally to Merzouga the gateway to the Sahara. Tonight accommodation is in a hotel.
This morning you take a 4×4 tour over the dunes, passing through Oases, visit the village of Khamlia and finally drive to the desert plateau to meet the nomad families with whom you will enjoy a mint tea. Returning back to your hotel to prepare for the camel trek to a desert camp. Watch the sunset and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. You have a choice of sleeping in a tent or under the stars.
Rising early to watch the sunrise you return to the hotel to freshen up and have breakfast. Then depart for Tineghir via Rissani, Erfoud, Tinejdad, and finally the spectacular Tohdra Gorge where you will spend the night in a Riad.
After breakfast, depart for Ait Ben Haddou via Ouazazate. On the way you will stop for lunch at Kelaa Gouna, a city famous for the Rose Festival which takes place in May every year after the harvest of the petals from the damask rose. Continuing on to Ouarzazate, through the Dades Valley, with stop at Skoura to visit the Kasbah Ameridil before leaving to Ait Ben Haddou. Visit the ancient kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou . Overnight in hotel
Another early start after breakfast. Today your destination is one of the oldest cities in southern Morocco, Taroudant. Sometimes referred to as the little sister of Marrakech. On the way stopping at Taznakht , the home of traditional Berber carpets then Taliouine , the centre for saffron production.
Today continuing south and crossing the anti-Atlas to Tafraoute, the capital of Ammeln Valley. Visit the rock paintings by Jean Verame in the heart of Agard-Oudad before returning to your Gite for the night.
Still continuing south to Mirleft , on the coast via the fortified city of Tiznit, famous for traditional Berber jewellery made from silver. After visiting a local craft co-operative and then lunch , continue to Mirleft. Overnight in guesthouse
Visit near by Legzira beach famous for it’s rock arches and the fishing port of Sid Ifni.
Today you visit the beautiful waterfall, Cascades Imouzzer des Ida Outanane, via the port city of Agadir. Overnight will be spent in a guesthouse near the falls.
Today you will travel to the port city of Essaouira, it’s 18th century fortifications still intact. Enjoy exploring the delightful medina and port at your own leisure. Overnight in Riad
After lunch it is just a 2.5 hour drive to the pink city of Marrakech. Overnight in Riad
