After a leisurely breakfast get ready to explore the sights and sounds of magical Marrakech. An expert guide will take you on a tour, visiting the famous souks, ancient Medina and Djemaa El Fna , the main square, in the old city where there is always something happening. Visit the 14th century Ali Ben Youssef Medersa, a former Quaranic learning centre which was once the largest in North Africa and displays stunning examples of Hispano-Moresque architecture. After the city tour the rest of the day is free. Your guide will meet you for dinner and a briefing on the adventure which begins tomorrow. If you wish, you can return to Djemaa El Fna after dinner to watch the theatre of singers, drummers, story tellers, snake charmers and much more
The beautiful and remote Bougmez Valley is located in the heart of the central High Atlas Mountains. Described as one of the best kept secrets in Morocco, this green valley is surrounded by an ampitheatre of magnificent mountains. Situated 200 kms east of Marrakech, trekking in this valley gives you an unsurpassed experience of ancient villages, including the UNESCO heritage listed Megdaz, stunning scenery and the famous hospitality of the Berber people.
You will have a support crew consisting of a guide , cook and muleteers to carry your belongings. The only thing you need to carry is a day pack. All meals are included and accomodation is in a Gite or guesthouse.
On the way to Skoura, in the Dades Valley, you will visit two spectacular gorges, the Dades and the Todra. The Todra Gorge is a massive fault dividing the High Atlas, rising to 300 ms in a narrow valley. Skoura a fertile oasis in the Dades Valley i s renowned for the cultivation of the damask rose. It is also home to some of the most beautiful Kasbahs in Southern Morocco.

Merzouga is the gateway to the desert. Here you will get to meet the camels that will transport you to the desert camp. Watch the sunset and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. You have a choice of sleeping in a tent or under the stars.
Rising early to watch the sunrise you will return to the hotel for breakfast and an opportunity to freshen up. Later in the morning there will be a visit to listen to Gnaou musicians and then a 4×4 tour of the desert.

Ait Ben Haddou is an ancient fortified city on the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and has been the backdrop for many movies that include, Gladiator, Jewel of the Nile and Lawrence of Arabia

On the way to Essaouira there will be a stop at Agadir for a short break. Agadir, located on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, near the foot of the Atlas Mountains is the largest seaside resort in Morocco. The fortress city of Essaouira offers easy exploring being small with all the attractions within easy walking distance of each other. Visit the ramparts to look at the cannons dating from the 18th century and stroll down to the harbour to watch the fishing boats. Enjoy a seafood dinner at one of the many outdoor grills located on the harbour

Return to Marrakech in the early afternoon. The rest of the day is free Or if you wish, a visit to the Majorelle gardens can be arranged
